Tottenham Hotspur have always been one of the few sides who tend to finish just outside of the Champions League spots. The North-London side had a weird season last year under Tim Sherwood, but somehow still managed to scrape a Europa League spot after some hugely poor performances.
Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to make that next step this season, and if he can get Spurs playing the flowing football he managed at Southampton, then they’ll certainly be the team to keep an eye on. He has an extremely solid squad at his disposal, especially in midfield.
Key Player: Roberto Soldado. The Spaniard had a torrid season last time around, but he does score goals. If given the right service, and used in the right system he’ll guarantee 20+ strikes a season. Under Pochettino he’ll flourish.

Tottenham have kept their transfer business relatively low-key in comparison to last summer. I really like the Ben Davies signing, as he certainly has the potential to become one of the best left-backs in the country. Michel Vorm will also provide great competition to Hugo Lloris for the goalkeeper spot.
