Real Madrid to battle Man Utd and Spurs for highly rated teenage star

Real Madrid are set to enter the race for highly-rated Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

According to reports in Spanish publication AS, the talented 17-year-old has impressed Bernabeu bosses, and see him as a potential long-term replacement for club stalwart Marcelo.

Both Manchester United and Spurs have been heavily linked with the England youth international over the last couple of windows.

Sessegnon usually plays at left-back, but is equally comfortable playing further forward. Unlike most teenage prospects the skillful youngster is not lacking in first-team experience having made his Fulham debut at 16, and has gone into to rack up over 50 Championship appearances for the Craven Cottage side.

Ironically, both United and Spurs both see the U19 European Championship winner as a replacement for either Luke Shaw or Danny Rose, with both of these players also being talked up as potential replacements for each other.

Fulham are said to be resigned to losing their prized asset in January, although they will be delighted that Real have now thrown their hat in the ring which will surely only drive up the mooted £50 million transfer fee they expect to receive, even further.
