Real Madrid edge closer to completing big money transfer

Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of Valencia midfielder André Gomes according to reports in Spain today.

Marca claim that Real Madrid officials have been working hard since the end of Euro 2016 to brink the Portigal star to the Bernabeu, and a deal as almost complete.

Valencia were aiming to receive €65million for the sale of Gomes, but it seems as though they have reluctantly agreed to let the midfielder move to Madrid for around €50million, with an extra €5-€10million being offered as bonuses.

Bosses at the European Champions view Gomes as an ideal replacement for the ageing Luka Modric who will soon turn 31.

The player is keen to make the move to the Spanish Capital and a deak should be completed within the coming days.
