Real Madrid and Barcelona to go head-to-head for transfer target

Real Madrid and Barcelona. Two of Europe’s largest clubs. Rivals on the pitch, and this summer, rivals in the transfer market.

According to reports in Spain, the El Classico rivals will be going head-to-head for the signing of Valencia midfielder André Gomes.

The Portugal midfielder scored four, and assisted seven goals for Valencia last season, and has also been linked with making a move to Juventus or Manchester United.

Spanish outlet MARCA, who have close links with Real Madrid, claim that the 22-year old is the “chosen one”, maybe hinting that they will pursue the Portugal star, rather than the far more pricey option of Paul Pogba.

The article claims that Valencia will look to receive €65million for their star man, who is currently on international duty with Portugal at Euro 2016, preparing for a semi final fixture agains Wales.
