Pundit tips Real Madrid to move for Harry Kane

Harry Kane’s devastating form has seen him linked with Real Madrid, and now Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has tipped the Spanish giants to make their move in the summer.

Kane is the current top scorer in the Premier League with 23, one ahead of Mo Salah and two ahead of the in-form Sergio Aguero, after already winning the golden ball for the last two seasons.

In fact, so devastating was his form last year, the England international outscored everyone in Europe, including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

Now, Paul Merson has believes that it is inconceivable that he Real Madrid will not try to sign the 24-year-old in the summer.

Speaking on Soccer Saturday, Merson described Kane “the best centre-forward in the world” and said he was in a different league to Benzema.

The former Arsenal striker said:

“I would be worried if I was Tottenham because money talks. £200 million, or even £160m is a lot. I can’t see how Real Madrid don’t go for him in the summer for £150-200m.

“How’s Benzema playing for Real Madrid? He’s not in the same class as Kane. They’re a million points behind Barcelona and they need a new centre-forward.”

Los Blancos are currently enduring a difficult season, and are currently 20 points behind league leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona, and finished second in their Champions League group behind Tottenham.
