Premier League Team of the Week: Gameweek 11

Another week of Premier League football comes to a close and the final international break of the calendar year arrives. Here are the 11 players to make the final team off week before jetting off to their home nations.

It is great to see representation from 10 Premier League clubs in this weeks WhoScored.com team of the week.

The only club to have two players in this weeks XI is Liverpool, who are represented by strike pairing of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino. Salah scored twice in the 4-1 win against a sorry West Ham, a result which today saw Slaven Bilic lose his job.

Elsewhere, Kevin de Bruyne was the player of the week, starring in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Arsenal, even scoring the opening goal.

De Bruyne is accompanied in midfield by Anthony Knockaert, Xherdan Shaqiri and Richarlison. Knockaert grabbed a crucial assist for Glenn Murray as Brighton climbed until the top half of the table thanks to their 1-0 win at Swansea.

Shaqiri scored one and created one as Stoke twice came from behind to earn a point against Leicester on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile Richarlison scored for Watford against Everton.

Speaking of the Everton game, Leighton Baines was the hero for the Blues, scoring a late penalty to lift for David Unsworths side out of the relegation zone. He also grabbed an assist for Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s equaliser.

Cesar Azpilicueta was solid it the back, and grabbed an assist for Chelsea as they beat Manchester United. Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen and Simon Francis’ performances for Spurs and Bournemouth respectively earned their place in the back four.

Huddersfield ‘keeper Jonas Lossl features once again after helping the 10-man Terriers to a vital 1-0 win over West Brom.
