Latest news on Manchester United’s £100million move for Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba’s proposed £100million move to Manchester United rumbles on, as day after day the Juventus midfielder seems closer to completing a return to Old Trafford.

Sources from around Europe are in agreement that Manchester United’s interest in Pogba is real, and that they appear to be leading the race, despite a residual interest from Real Madrid.

Reports in today’s L’equipe claim that Pogba has ‘clearly expressed’ to his close friends and team mates that he wants to return to Old Trafford, a decision he has also informed Juventus of.

Meanwhile, back in Manchester, Jose Mourinho has apparently set a deadline of 7th August in which to have the deal completed by. United want Pogba at the club in time for the Community Shield final at Wembley, one week before the Premier League kicks off.

Pogba himself was involved in the Euro 2016 semi final victory over Germany in Marseille last night, setting up the second goal.
