Odds slashed on Joe Harts next club

One mans disappointment is another mans opportunity, and that certainly could be the case for Joe Harts short term future.

The goalkeeper has been relegated to third choice goalkeeper behind Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero at the Etihad this summer, but he could have been handed a lifeline away from the club.

Sunderland manager David Moyes comfirmed yesterday that he was in the market to sign a new goalkeeper following a serious injury to current number one ‘keeper Vito Mannone, sending the odds on Joe Hart moving to the Stadium of Light plummeting.

Moyes said:

Vito has torn ligaments in his elbow and we’re waiting to see whether it will require surgery.

[He will be out for] A minimum of three months.

We definitely need to look for another goalkeeper because we only have a young ‘keeper after Jordan Pickford.

In order to sign Joe Hart, Sunderland would expect Manchester City to pay a vast chunk of the 29-year olds wages.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman ruled himself out of the race on Thursday claiming there was ‘no interest’ in signing the ‘keeper.
