Everton manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Scotland international, Steven Naismith, is close to leaving the club. It is believed that Norwich City may be the destination, but Swansea City have also been linked with the forward in recent weeks.
There has been no approach [from Swansea]. There has been another Premier League club that has made a lot of progress in that respect. Everything is more or less agreed in terms of a possible transfer.
Meanwhile Norwich City manager, Alex Neil said that his club have done “Everything possible” but admits they will have to “wait and see” to see if 29 year old forward will join him at Carrow Road.
Naismith joined Everton from Rangers, following Rangers demotion to the 4th tier of Scottish Football for financial problems in 2012. He has played in 123 games, scoring 25 goals for Everton.
