World Cup and Champions League winnner, Victor Valdes is set to sign for newly promoted Middlesbrough.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper has apparently agreed terms with the newly promoted Premier League club and will undergo a medical at the Riverside tomorrow.
Valdes was released by Manchester United last week after falling out with former manager Louis van Gaal last summer. The Spaniard was invited to move to Old Trafford as part of his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury, where he eventually signed a permanent deal making two appearances for the club.
However, the ‘keeper had a dispute with the Dutchman regarding playing for the reserves, and the goalkeeper was essentially banished from the first team.
He was sent on loan to Standard Liege in January before his Manchester United contract expired this summer.
According to reports, the ‘keeper has a medical scheduled for tomorrow at Middlesbrough where he would be reunited with Aitor Karanka.
