Mbappe asks to leave Monaco!

Monaco teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe has asked to leave the club according to reports in France.

This is according to French newspaper L’Equipe, who claim that the 18-year-old has informed the his club, friends and even his teammates at the Ligue 1 Champions.

Mbappe is believed to have been promised that Monaco would have a strong team for the new season, but after watching his last seasons teammates Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoue Bakayoko all sold, and with Thomas Lemar heavily linked with a move away also, he has decided to leave.

L’Equipe also claim that Barcelona have been in negotiations with the forward for the last few days, a claim backed up by Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.

Mbappe has been linked with a number of clubs around the Premier League and Europe. Arsenal and Manchester City have been most heavily linked of the Premier League contingent, with Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool also interested.

But it is in Spain where it is claimed there is the most major interest. Barcelona have joined their bitter rivals Real Madrid in their pursuit for the youngster. In the last week or two, Real Madrid have been reported to have made a £160m move for Mbappe, while Barcelona are on the hunt for a replacement for Neymar, who is on the brink of a £198m move to PSG.

Barcelona are also believed to be interested in signing Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele among a number of player being targeted to replace the Brazilian.
