Manchester United told to stump up £65million to land striker

Manchester United have been struggling for that regular goalscorer so far this season, with Wayne Rooney topping the charts with twelve goals in all competitions. Aside from that there isn’t many players banging in the goals, with the exception of Anthony Martial who is making a name for himself out on the wings.

According to The Sun, Manchester United have shown an interest in Everton’s star striker, Romelu Lukaku. The 22-year old tops the Premier League scoring charts at this point in time, but The Toffees are set to demand £65million if Louis van Gaal is intent on signing the Belgian international.

Lukaku is one of the hottest strikers in football at the moment, and the best thing about it for United is that he still has years ahead of him. Everton would obviously be reluctant to let him leave Goodison Park, but if they can somehow get £65million for him, they would be able to replace him with proven quality.
