Manchester United told ‘Mane will not be sold’

Manchester United’s interest in Sadio Mane was confirmed just a couple of days ago, and the Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has had his say on the matter, as he states that Southampton will not be selling anymore players this summer – including Sadio Mane and Victor Wanyama.

“We’re not selling any more players,” said Koeman after Thursday’s game.

“Write what you want to about the rumours until 1 September, nobody is going to leave Southampton.”

“The situation is so easy and we have to deal with it. I don’t like it as maybe players are thinking they’re not fully focused on what they have to do.

“There’s no bid for any player. Not for Sadio Mane, not for Victor Wanyama.

“We have to deal with rumours among the press. There’s no bid for any player and no contact from any club.”

You do have to feel for Koeman and Southampton. The so called bigger clubs have taken some of their key players season-in season-out since their return to the Premier League, and to their credit they are a club that are still on the up and keep on fighting.
