Manchester United are planning to make a £79million move for PSG midfielder Marco Verratti according to reports in Italy.
Corrierre dello Sport claim that Manchester United will make a British transfer record move for the 23-year old, who is currently injured and is set will miss Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign that begins today.
It is widely expected that United will sign Sweden star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is seeing out the final days of his contract at the French champions, and he wants his close friend to join with him at Old Trafford.
Verratti moved to Paris back in 2012 and has played a key role in PSG winning four consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
However, with PSG not exactly being short of money, any offer would for the combative midfielder would be rejected.
