Manchester United suffer Mkhitaryan blow

Manchester United have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder as the German giants are have knocked back a £19million move.

The Armenian midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract at the Westfalenstadion and has decided not to renew his current deal. However, despite the possibility of losing their star on a free contract next summer, Borussia Dortmund Chiefs have knocked back Uniteds offer and will continue to do so as they refuse to sell the 27-year old.

It’s not a new tactic for Borussia Dortmund, who refused to let Robert Lewandowski leave for Bayern Munich back in 2013, and eventually lost the Polish goal machine on a free transfer a year later.

Mkhitaryans agent Mino Raiola recently expressed the players desire to move to Manchester United, describing it as a “once in a lifetime opportunity”
