Manchester United and Chelsea are set to battle it out for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain centre back, Marquinhos, according to a report in the Sunday Express.
The Brazilian defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League on a number of occasions, but has since fallen down the pecking order at the French Champions, with fellow Brazilians, Thiago Silva and David Luiz ahead of him.
Marquinhos recently said;
Like everyone else, I always want to be a part of the starting line-up. But we all must respect the choices of the coach and management.
I will continue to work to get my place. But it is true, there comes a moment where I am older – you cannot just get used to sitting on the bench.
The Sunday Express also claim that Barcelona are rivalling Manchester United and Chelsea for the Brazilians signature, however PSG are under no pressure to sell, and would demand upwards of €45million (£34.6million) to release the player.
