Manchester City have had a €45million bid rejected for Italy and Juventus midfielder Leonardo Bonucci.
Pep Guardiola made the offer after watching a string of impressive performances for both club and country, as he looks for defensive reinforcements.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester City also offered the 29-year old a €7million-a-year contract, but the approach was rejected by the Italian club, who consider the player as ‘non-transferable’
Bonucci has also been linked to Manchester United and Chelsea, the latter of which would see him reunited with Antonio Conte, with who he worked with at Juventus and the Italian national side, a role he has just ended to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester City are also known to be looking at Everton defender John Stones, who would set them back a hefty £50million!
