Manchester City close to £88m double swoop

Manchester City could be about to complete one of the biggest double transfer of the summer, as according to The Mirror, Pellegrini is just a few steps away from adding both Nicolas Otamendi and Kevin de Bruyne to the first-team squad, after the pair both agree moves to The Etihad.

Nicolas Otamendi is a 27-year old Argentinian centre-back who has constantly been linked with a move to the neighbours Old Trafford this summer, but Louis van Gaal always denied an interest in the Valencia CF man.

City have been chasing De Bruyne all summer, and they look to have finally landed their man for a fee in excess of £45million, as Wolfsburg are a side that clearly don’t need the money unless its top dollar.

Both will be fantastic acquisitions to an already excellent side who have thoroughly impressed in their two Premier League outings so far.
