Man Utd's Morata move a 'Done Deal'

Manchester United’s move for Alvaro Morata is done deal according to the player.

The Express are reporting that the Spanish international has told his close friends that a deal has been done with Real Madrid to ensure he will be playing his football at Old Trafford.

The striker cut short his honeymoon in Ibiza in an attempt to move the deal along, and those talks are believed to have advanced the negotiations.

They claim the European champions have softened their stance after demanding £80m for the 24-year-old, but could now be willing to agree a deal closer to United’s offer of £60m.

Morata has already agreed personal terms with United after being convinced by Jose Mourinho he would be perfectly suited to the Premier League.

The move would also guarantee the striker the gametime required to stake a claim to be Spain’s number one striker for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Manchester United are short on numbers up front with Marcus Rashford the only real option to lead the line. Wayne Rooney’s days as a world class striker are long behind him while Anthony Martial struggled in his second season, and is often played on the left wing.
