Man Utd to miss out on Renato Sanches again

Manchester United could be about to miss out on Renato Sanches for the second time in little over twelve months.

United were interested in signing the young Portuguese midfielder last summer, but confusion surrounding their managerial situation allowed Bayern Munich to sneak in and secure a deal from under their noses.

However after a difficult season at the Bundesliga club, Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that Sanches could be allowed to leave, with United expected to rekindle their interest.

However, reports in L’Equipe today claim that the 19-year-old has agreed a four year deal with Serie A big spenders, AC Milan.

Bayern president Karl Heinz Rummenigge suggested last week that the German champions would consider a bid in the region of €50m (£43m) would be accepted, with the potential of an initial loan move also being acceptable.

However, the report in the French publication claims that AC Milan have agreed a cut price deal of €40m (£35m).

Sanches struggled to make an impact during his debut campaign at the Allianz, making just 25 appearances, and failing to score a single goal.

Should United make a late move for the midfielder? Is he as good as everyone makes out? Who will Mourinho sign this summer? Leave us your comments below.
