Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is wanted by Juventus according to reports in Italy.
The defender hasn’t featured for United in the Premier League in 2018, with his last League appearance being an 14 minute cameo against Arsenal on December 2nd. He has made two appearances this year in the Cup competitions however, against Bristol City and Yeovil Town.
He was signed by Louis van Gaal in 2015, and made 39 appearances in his first season at Old Trafford under the Dutchman. That number dropped to 29 last season under Jose Mourinho, and has fallen further still this campaign, making just 12 so far, with only four of those being in the league.
According to Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano, Darmian is now on the radar of Serie A Champions Juventus, who want to take the defender back to Turin having formerly played at Torino.
Romano claims that Juventus have already made contact with Manchester United officials regarding a summer transfer, and the player is keen to end his difficult time spell in England.
Fellow Italian side Napoli are also thought to be interested in the 28-year-old.
