Man United linked with Inter Milan striker

Manchester United are said to be interested in a mega money move for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi this summer.

The Argentina international and former Barcelona youth player has been in sensational goal scoring form in Seria A this season, finding the net 18 times in just 22 appearances.

Despite the 24-year-old being the Nerazzurri’s captain, he has enjoyed a tumultuous relationship with the club’s fans, and was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid during the January transfer window.

According to a report on ESPN today, Icardi’s wife Wanda, who acts as his representative is said to be working closely with super agent Mino Raiola to push through a deal that would see the star striker swap the San Siro for Old Trafford.

Raiola has become United’s CEO Ed Woodward’s go-to-guy in recent years, as he played a key role in the deals that saw Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovich move to Manchester.

Any deal for talented hitman Icardi would be expected to exceed the £100 million mark, although he has shown already during career that he possesses the type of devastating finishing ability that would improve almost any team.
