Man City eye £50m deal for Leicester star

Manchester City have been linked with a sensational £50m deal for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.

The defender only made a £17m move to the King Power stadium from relegated Hull City in the summer, but has continued his impressive development with the Foxes this season.

His performances have already earned him an England call up, and according to the Sun, have now earned him him a place on Pep Guardiola’s transfer radar.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is known to be in the market for a new centre back to replace the injury prone Vincent Kompany, with West Brom defender Jonny Evans having being linked last summer. Guardiola is still thought to be interested in the former Manchester United defender, although faces stiff opposition from Arsenal for his signature.

The article claims that City are also interested in Real Sociedad’s Inigo Martinez and Lyon’s Mouctar Diakhaby, with Harry Maguire being the most expensive option on Guardiola’s list of potential targets.

The Catalan manager has been impresses with the 24-year-olds performances for the Foxes and could be set to offer a whopping £50m for his services. Leicester are determined to keep hold of their summer signing, although Maguire would be understandably open to a move to one of Europes biggest clubs.
