Louis van Gaal could be sacked if Manchester United target not reached – report

Manchester United Football Club were dumped out of the Champions League in dramatic fashion on Tuesday, and now Louis van Gaal’s attentions will turn to winning the Premier League title. However, according to The Times, the Manchester United board could sack the Iron Tulip come the summer…

The English publication go on to say that if Manchester United do not finish in the top three this term, the Old Trafford hierarchy could pull the trigger and fire the 64-year old Dutchman.

Fan unrest is one of the most powerful things in football, and we certainly saw plenty of reds grow unhappy with Louis van Gaal over the last week or so. If the club fails to earn a spot in the Champions League group stage next season, the red half of Manchester could get their wish come May.
