Liverpools €75m Mbappé bid rejected

Liverpool have seen their €75million bid for teenage sensation Kylian Mbappé rejected by French Champions AS Monaco.

According to Spanish publication Marca, Jurgen Klopp has tabled the £64million bid for the player as he prepares for the prospect of Champions League football next season, something that will confirmed if they beat Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Mbappe has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in world football, and is wanted by some of the worlds biggest clubs. Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked, whilst Real Madrid are believed to be the favourites for his signature.

The 18-year-old sensation has scored 26 goals in 43 games for Monaco this season, helping the principality club to their first Ligue 1 title since 1999/2000, as well as guiding his club towards the Champions League semi-final.

Club vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has claimed the club will do everything in their power to keep the player.

“[We will] do everything possible [to keep him in the team],”

“Everything [however] depends on the player’s will.”

However, despite the huge offers being made for Mbappé, nobody has yet met Monaco’s €100m valuation.
