Liverpool are interested in Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian forward, Alex Teixeira, and have sent a delegation to Florida to discuss a transfer of the £29million rated man, according to the Daily Mail.
The 26 year old has been linked with a move to Chelsea all throughout January, and the player himself even welcomed the links to a move to Stamford Bridge, as we told you earlier this week.
However, with Liverpool keen to add more fire power to their front line, they have decided to go after Teixeira. Liverpool have sent club officials to Florida, where Shakhtar are playing in the Florida cup following their winter break.
Teixeira has scored an incredible 22 goals in just 15 league games, and 3 in 6 champions league games.
Liverpool are believed to have bid £23million for Teixeira as the player looks to move on from Shakhtar Donetsk, in a hope to get his first international call up for the Brazil squad.
Should he join Liverpool, he would join fellow Brazilians, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Leiva.
