Liverpool defender a summer target for Monaco

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is a summer target for Ligue 1 side Monaco.

The 35-year old is out if contract at Anfield at the end of this month and is set to be allowed to leave the club that he joined back in 2013 after becoming surplus to requirements at Manchester City.

Liverpool are believed to have offered the Ivorian a coaching role at the club, but Toure is determined to carry on playing for as long as possible, and a move to the Ligue 1 club could be the ideal opportunity for the former Arsenal and Manchester City defender.

During his time in the England, Toure has won two Premier League titles, one with Arsenal and the other at Manchester City, as well as earning three FA Cup winners medals.

Liverpool are also planning on allowing Joao Teixeira to leave the club for free this summer.
