Liverpool are still chasing the signature of Columbian hitman Radamel Falcao, according to the Daily Mail. The 28-year old from Santa Marta had an injury-hit season last term, but still managed to notch ten goals in eighteen Ligue 1 games.
Liverpool face stiff competition for the strikers signature, with both Real Madrid and Juventus seriously interested in luring Falcao away from France. The forward man cost Monaco €60million just last summer, so he’d certainly cost a pretty penny if he were to be lured away from his huge tax-free wages in Monaco.
Radamel Falcao is the kind of striker who if fit, guarantees you 20+ league goals a season. He’s strong, great in the air and can finish with both feet, meaning he’s pretty much suited to play in any league in world football.
He’d be an excellent coup for Liverpool if they can tempt Falcao to Anfield, and they desperately need to fill the void left by Luis Suarez, because Rickie Lambert simply isn’t on the same planet as the aforementioned Uruguayan.
