Liverpool are preparing to enter the race for the signature of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, as the striker ponders a £20million transfer to Arsenal.
The Daily Star claims that Jurgen Klopp will decide during the course of Euro 2016 whether to make a move for the 29-year old, but the club are thought to have been tracking the England striker for two years.
Arsenal have made it clear to the Premier League champions that they are willing to pay Vardy’s £20million release clause in order to lure him to the Emirates. It is thought that the release clause can only be activated by teams in the Champions League, meaning that Liverpool would have to negotiate with Leicester.
However, with Vardy waiting until after the European Championships to make his decision, as questions circulate over the England strikers suitability towards Arsenal’s system, Liverpool are preparing to give Vardy a real decision to make.
