Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea given massive transfer boost

Premier League rivals Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been handed a major transfer boost by the news that Monaco star Thomas Lemar has rejected the offer of a new contract with his current club.

The 22-year-old rose to prominence during his club’s surprise Ligue Un title triump last season, and their excellent run to the Champions League semi-final.

Lemar is a left-winger, blessed with blistering pace, superb dribbling ability, and a deadly shot, who many observers believe  would be a perfect fit for the Premier League.

His current deal with Monaco does not expire until 2020, although The Daily Mail are reporting that his refusal to accept the offer of a new and improved contract, is a clear indication that he is eager to move during next summer’s transfer window.

Liverpool and Arsenal both made bids for the talented attacker during the summer. The Gunners even offered a club record £92 million to take him to The Eimrates, but Lemar turned down the move at the time.

The player himself is said to be keen on a move to England, and it promises to be a fascinating battle to see which one of these top-six rivals is able to secure his services.
