Queens Park Rangers have today completed the transfer of Norwich City Midfielder, Leroy Fer in an £8million deal. The 24 year old has signed a 3 year contract with the London club following Norwich City’s relegation to the Championship last season.
Fer becomes Harry Redknapp’s fourth summer signing, following the capture of Rio Ferdinand, Stephen Caulker and Jordan Mutch.
As we stated in our pre season previews, QPR had very limited options in midfield and the addition of Leroy Fer will certainly boost the strength and depth of the midfield department.
Speaking about his transfer, Fer said:
It was always my dream to stay in England, in the Premier League. QPR did well last season to come up and the squad is full of top players, so I’m delighted to be here.
I’m just looking forward to showing what I’m capable of here at QPR.”
The Dutch midfielder was involved in the World Cup with the Nerherlands this summer, and will wear the number 10 shirt at Queens Park Rangers
