Leipzig 'want to sell' Naby Keita

It’s good news for Liverpool fans as reports today suggest that RB Leipzig ‘want to sell’ Naby Keita.

Liverpool have been tracking the Guinean international for a number of months, but have so far come up against resilience from the Bundesliga runners up.

Leipzig have been holding out for an irresistible offer for their midfielder, believed to be around £70m, while Liverpool have only recently upped their offer to £57m, an offer which was rejected.

However, with Liverpool preparing a fresh offer of £60m, Sky Sports are reporting that officials within the German now ‘want to sell’ the midfielder.

Sky Sports reported Kaveh Solhekol has said:

“We are expecting some progress on Naby Keïta to Liverpool,

“Liverpool flew to Hong Kong yesterday but (there is) no let up in their efforts to try and sign Naby Keïta. We are expecting them to make a second bid for the RB Leipzig midfielder.

“Keïta has told Leipzig he wants to leave, he’s told them he wants to move to Liverpool. A £57million offer has been rejected but senior figures at Leipzig now want to sell Keïta. A Liverpool bid of more than £60million should be on its way this week.”

If the reports are correct, then Liverpool could be on the verge of signing a top player, and in the process, smashing their transfer record.
