Koeman lines up transfer targets after taking over at Everton

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has wasted no time in identifying several players he will target this summer as he looks to improve on the clubs disappointing season.

The Guardian claims that the new boss at Goodison Park has identified a number of player to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season, including £30million target Axel Witsel from Zenit St Petersburg. The Belgian midfielder, who played in the 2-0 defeat to Italy on Monday evening, has 12 months remaining on his deal at the Russian club and is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League.

Another player on Koemans radar is his fellow Dutchman Tim Krul, who also has just 12 months remaining on his deal at relegated Newcastle United. Krul is seen as an ideal replacement for Tim Howard who has left the club to return to the MLS to play for Colorado Rapids.

The new Everton boss will also target West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino who would be a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who has been linked with a £65million move away from the club.
