Jurgen Klopp has insisted once again that Philippe Coutinho is not for sale amid interest from Barcelona.
Barcelona have seen two bids if £72m and £90m rejected by the Premier League club, who are insistent that that their star player will not be leaving.
Klopp has backed up his stance by saying:
“From a financial standpoint, there is no price limit to let him go or a price that we are ready to give in.
“Our goal is to have the best possible team. So we want to keep our guys and add new ones. That is our plan.
“Liverpool is not a club that has to sell players. That is set in stone. So what they pay in the end doesn’t matter.”
Barcelona are reportedly willing to pay up to £110m for the Brazilian, who himself is thought to be keen on the move to the Nou Camp. However, he is also known to be happy on Merseyside, and doesn’t want to force his way out of the club.
Barcelona are also tracking Ousmane Dembele, who has been suspended by Borussia Dortmund for failing to turn up to training. The Bundesliga club have rejected a £82m bid for the French youngster, for who they value at £135m.
