Manchester City have already made one big money move this summer, as they signed Raheem Sterling from North-West rivals Liverpool for a huge fee of £49million. They are looking to follow that up with another £45million plus move for Kevin de Bruyne before the transfer window slams shut in early September.
According to Belgian press, Kevin de Bruyne’s move to The Citizens is close, and it is believed that the talented attacking midfielder will sign a contract worth a huge €320,000-a-week on a six-year deal. A whopping £228,000-a-week in sterling.
Kevin de Bruyne is clearly a talented player, and his fantastic season at Wolfsburg makes Chelsea look rather silly for parting with him so cheaply considering the fees being mentioned now.
However Wolfsburg are a club on the up and they certainly don’t need the money, so it will cost an awful lot to prise him away from his current club this campaign.
