Juventus: 'Dybala can leave'

Juventus chief Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Argentina striker Paulo Dybala can leave the club, if he wants to.

He was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer following the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain, with Manchester United and Chelsea also having being linked with the 23-year-old.

However, with none of Juventus’ stars having a release clause in their contracts, no club will be able to land Dybala on the cheap.

Now, Juventus general manager Marotta has said:

“The player is the one that decides his fate, and if he wants to leave, it’ll be impossible to keep him.

“It’s crucial in a player-club relationship in Spain, but only Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic had release clauses in Italy. I’m against giving clauses to our players.

“The damage from Neymar’s transfer can’t be calculated that easily, and for me it goes beyond the €220m (£198m) Barca pocketed.

“€90m (£75m) for Higuain? This campaign was created following Pogba’s sale and we’re delighted with Higuain. Beyond all that, he’s important to our style of play.”

Dybala has started the season in fine form, scoring an incredible 10 goals in just seven games for the Bianconeri.
