Liverpool have been dealt an injury blow with the news that they will be without club captain Jordan Henderson for around six games through injury.
Henderson was replaced during Liverpool’s epic pre Christmas encounter with Arsenal after just 10 minutes after falling to the ground clutching his right leg. He was replaced by James Milner as Liverpool went on to throw away a two goal lead to draw 3-3 at the Emirates.
The club were hopeful that the England midfielder would not be out for too long, but scans have revealed that the former Sunderland man has suffered a grade two tear to his hamstring.
This mean he is likely to be out of action for around four weeks, where he will miss around six games, including crunch matches against Everton and Manchester City.
Liverpool are hopeful to see Henderson return in early February.
