In-form Willian linked with Chelsea exit

He may be one of the Premier League’ most in form players, but Chelsea winger Willian is being linked with a move away from the club.

Willian has helped to steady the ship for Chelsea in recent weeks, scoring five goals in his last seven games, including against Barcelona and Manchester United over the course of the last week.

Despite always seeming to come up with the goods though, he has never seemed to be first choice under Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, starting just 20 games in the league, champions league and FA Cup combined.

His goals in recent weeks have seen given him the nod ahead of Spanish winger Pedro, but Conte recently admitted that he had no regrets leaving the Brazilian out of he lineup, pointing to the fact that he won the title last season to support his argument.

Willian was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge last summer, with Manchester United and their manager Jose Mourinho known to be huge admirers of the 29-year-old.

Now, according to the Daily Star, despite his good form in recent weeks, his future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain. The article says that it is ‘looking increasingly likely’ that this season will be his last at the club.

They also point to the fact that Manchester United are still interested in signing the winger, but have also been joined by big spending Italian side AC Milan, with both sides priced at 7/4 to land the Chelsea man.
