Chelsea could be about to be dealt with a huge summer transfer blow as a summer target is set to snub a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have been interested in signing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly for a number of months, but have been unable to come to an agreement over with the Italian club.
However reports today suggest that the defender could be set to sign a new contract with Napoli and effectively end any talk of a summer transfer.
Napoli had been asking for £60million for the defender, a figure that Chelsea were unwilling to pay.
Chelsea are in the market for a new centre back with Kurt Zouma injured until 2017 and John Terry about to turn 36 years old.
Blues boss Antonio Conte appears to have switched his attentions to Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini
