Hazard refuses to rule out Real Madrid switch

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has once again refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid.

The Belgian has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu for a number of transfer windows, and speaking in an interview Spanish publication Marca, he was asked if people should expect to see him playing in the famous white kit one day, to which Hazard replied:

“In football you never know, I’m happy in Chelsea and focused on them.”

He was also asked about his thoughts on Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, a player who has previously spoken very highly of the Chelsea winger. Hazard repaid the compliments about the Frenchman, describing him as his childhood ‘icon’:

“Of course it is, I remember 10 years ago when he spoke about me for the first time, it was incredible.

“He was my idol when I was a boy, I’ve seen thousands of videos about him and now he is the manager of one of the best clubs in the world, so yes, it’s a luxury.

“But I don’t want to stop, I want to keep working and trying on the pitch and then yes, I love it when people talk about me well.”

Hazard has recently been linked with a move to the Bernabeu as a potential replacement for Spanish playmaker Isco, who could be set to leave the Spanish giants in the summer.
