Gareth Bale to choose Man Utd over Chelsea

Gareth Bale would favour a move to Manchester United over Chelsea if he is forced out of Real Madrid this summer.

The former Tottenham winger has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu after what has been a challenging season for the Welshman.

Falling from favour

The £86million man has had a fantastic first three years at the La Liga club, and only signed a bumper new deal back in October. That deal see’s him contracted to Real Madrid until 2022, where he earns a whopping £250,000-a-week after tax.

Since then though, Bale has seen his game time limited due to a number of injuries. This is coupled with the success of Marcos Asensio and Isco has left Madrid chiefs opening up to the idea of selling their club record signing. The Welshman has been restricted to just 26 appearances this season, scoring just nine goals.

Real Madrid are also looking to to invest heavily in their squad this summer. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Monaco teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe have both been linked with a mega moves to Real Madrid.

Happy in Spain

Bale himself is very happy in the Spanish capital, and isn’t actively seeking a move away, but has started looking at his options should he be forced out of the 11 time European Champions.

If he does leave, Spanish publication Diario Gol claim that Bale would like to come back to the Premier League, and would prefer a move Manchester United rather than Chelsea or Tottenham, both of whom have showed interest in the winger before.

Bale is currently battling to be fit in time for the Champions League final in his home city of Cardiff.
