Everton manager, Roberto Martinez has been lined up to replace former Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini at Italian giants, Inter Milan.
The reports in today’s Daily Mirror claim that the Spaniard is on a shortlist that include Diego Simeone and Frank de Boer to take over at the San Siro, should current boss Roberto Mancini fails to qualify for the Champions League.
Inter Milan currently sit in fourth place in Serie A and face third placed Fiorentina in a crucial match this weekend. A victory for Inter would see them leapfrog their opposition into the third Champions League spot, but defeat would see them four points adrift.
The article claims that Inters Indonesian owner, Erick Thohir, is already drawing up a contingency plan to replace Mancini, despite him being contracted to the club until 2017.
Italian publication Tuttosport claims that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is the first choice for the job.
