DONE DEAL: Wolfsburg sign Germany International striker

Bundesliga club Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Germany international Mario Gomez from Fiorentina.

The striker spent last season on loan at Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas, but has decided not to return to the club following the civil unrest within the country that came to a head last month with an attempted military coup.

The 31-year old left the Bundesliga in 2013 but will now return having signed a three-year deal with German club Wolfsburg.

Gomez, the son of a Spanish father, has scored 29 goals in 68 caps for Germany, including two for his country at this summers European Championships.
