Swansea City have secured a deal for Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente who joins the club on a two-year deal.
The 31-year old moves to the Liberty stadium on a free transfer where he will be almost guaranteed games after falling down the pecking order with the Europa League champions.
He made a name for himself at Athletic Bilbao before moving to Juventus in 2013 where he spent two-years at the club before moving to Sevilla.
The Spaniard said:
I am very happy to join Swansea.
Ihave scored goals in La Liga and Serie A, and now I want to score a lot of goals for the club in the Premier League.
I want to score a lot of goals like Michu. He is a very good player and he did very well here.
Swansea’s striker force has dwindled this summer following the departures of Alberto Paloschi, Eder and Bafetimbi Gomis who moved to Atlanta, Lille and Marseille respectively.
