DONE DEAL: Skrtl leaves Liverpool

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtl has completed a £5million move to Turkish club Fenerbahce.

The defender had lost his place in the Liverpool starting XI under Jurgen Klopp, with the German preferring to play Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren at the heart of the defence. In addition, Klopp has brought in Schalke defender Joel Matip to increase competition and limit Skrtl’s chances further.

The defender has spent eight years at Liverpool, making 320 appearances for the Reds, but has now signed a deal with the Turkish club.

He featured for Slovakia in their recent Euro 2016 campaign.
