Chelsea have completed the loan signing of Brazil international, and Corinthians striker, Alexandre Pato on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The move to Chelsea has long been rumoured, but the clubs have been locked in talks for weeks. Chelsea have now agreed a loan deal, with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer, should the Brazilian be able to show his qualities in the Premier League.
The 26 year old striker has been on a two year loan deal at São Paulo, where he last played competitively back in November. Prior to his return to Brazil, Pato was seen as one of Europes hottest properties whilst at AC Milan where he scored 63 goals in 150 games for the club.
Pato’s deal has taken a little longer to confirm that we expected, as the clubs hit a snag over the loan fee to be paid, however the deal is now complete and Pato is a Chelsea player.
Pato now heads to Stamford Bridge to try propel the club up the table. His arrival will probably spell the end for either Loic Remy or Radamel Falcao’s stay at the London club.
