Manchester City have completed the £31million signing of Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus.
The deal, which comprises of an initial fee of £27million plus £4million of add-ons, has seen Manchester City beat the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United for the signing of the winger.
The 19-year old has moved from Brazilian club Palmeiras, and has been described by South American football experts as the “next Neymar”.
He said:
Manchester City is one of the best clubs in the world so I’m really pleased to sign. We have many great talents in the team and a fantastic manager in Pep Guardiola that I can learn so much from. I’m looking forward to showing the City fans what I can do and I think we’ll have a great future together.
The Brazilian will remain with Palmeiras on loan until the end of the domestic season before linking up with his new teammates in January.
