Leicester City have completed the signing of Daniel Amartey from FC Copenhagen, subject to international clearance. The Ghanaian has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at the King Power stadium,and becomes the second new arrival this month, following the earlier arrival of Demerai Gray.
The 21 year old, who is a central midfielder, but also can play at right back, joins on an undisclosed fee. He said;
It’s a great pleasure to join Leicester City. I know the club have been interested in signing me for some time and that was a big part of my decision to come here.
All over Europe, people are talking about Leicester City and how well the club is doing in the Premier League. The team plays exciting, attacking football and I’m looking forward to being part of it.
Amartey trained with his new team mates today before they face Stoke City on Saturday, however the new signing will be unavailable.
