Done Deal: Bristol City sign Aston Villa defender

Bristol City have officially confirmed the signing of Nathan Baker from Aston Villa.

Bristol City announced the signing of Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker this afternoon. Baker signed for City for an undisclosed fee,  in addition to this the 26 year-old has reportedly signed a four-year deal with the club.

Previously Baker spent the 2015/16 season on-loan at Bristol City. He went on to make 37 appearances for the club, scoring once for the Robins during his loan spell.

A product of the youth academy, Baker made over 115 appearances for Aston Villa. Since signing for the Midlands club as a schoolboy, Baker rose through the ranks of the club. Eventually Baker made his Villa debut in January 2011, in a league game against Wigan Athletic.

Bristol City fans: Are you pleased with this signing? What can Nathan Baker bring to your side? Let us know your thoughts.
