Done Deal: Arsenal complete club record deal to sign Lacazette

Arsenal have completed the club record signing of Alexandre Lacazette from French club, Lyon.

The deal to take the French striker to Emirates is worth €53m, with the deal potentially rising to €60m according to reports.

The 26-year-old scored 28 goals in just 30 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon, and had been linked with  a move to Atletico Madrid. However a transfer ban that was upheld against Spanish club has seen Arsenal steal a march on the Madrid side and complete the signing of the Frenchman.

He has signed a five year contract with the North London club.

The arrival of Lacazette could spell the end of Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez’s Arsenal career’s, both who have been linked with a departure. He could be joined though by Riyad Mahrez who has asked to leave Leicester City.

Read how Alexandre Lacazette’s move to Arsenal could trigger a £200m+ chain reaction.
